Randy and his team have been great to work with! We first worked with Randy to have crown molding installed after reaching out to several other contractors who never returned our calls. Randy returned our call within hours and the next day came out to review the job and provide us with an estimate. Within a week, the job was finished. We then had a screen porch built and knew because of the attention to detail and responsiveness Randy provided on the first job, that he was the person we wanted for this job. Again, he and his team and the end result met all our expectations! I cannot say enough about his responsiveness and follow through. We are now starting our 3rd project with him, a kitchen re-model and can't wait! Highly recommend Preston Building & Remodeling!
I cannot recommend Randy. He was not on site daily, as promised, and left construction of our three-season room to two squabbling subs, one of whom he fired during the project. The room was out of level, caught by another vendor; Randy knew and fixed it only after we called him on it. Less than a year in the roof leaked and we had to pay a roofer a few thousand to have it repaired. And he never returned to complete the warranty work. The room looks good, and yes, he did what we asked, but when you hire a general contractor, you don't want to have to "catch" their mistakes -- you expect them to build a quality product. We wanted to promote him in our neighborhood, as there are hundreds of decks and porches to be built; in good conscience we can't. He's a nice enough guy but not a quality builder.
